A Lampworker with a Cause

Thank you for taking the time to come here and see what my "CAUSE" is.  I am honored to say that I am part of a team of devoted volunteers, artists, humanitarians and healers when I contribute to the organization known as "Beads of Courage".  

Beads of Courage is an arts-in-medicine program that was founded in  2005 by a pediatric oncology nurse Jean Baruch. The goal of the Beads of Courage Program is to strengthen resilience and sense of self in children coping with cancer, provide hope, and alleviate their experience of suffering. Through the Beads of Courage Program, children are given beads as symbols of honor and acknowledgement during their treatment journey as determined by the Beads of Courage Bead Guide. Handmade beads donated by artists provide one-of-a-kind beads for treatment milestones. The Beads of Courage Program now serves over 60 children’s hospitals nationwide.

I am excited to share with you, that I am playing a part within a large team of volunteers and staff that is organizing an event called...."Bead Inspired" Mesa Arts Center.

I would love to invite you on this path of healing and creating.  I would like to share with you how the simple act of creating and gifting a glass bead can share KINDNESS as arts-in-medicine.
